Course Outline
This online seminar spans across 3 weeks of learning and is designed as a complete communications program.
Week 1
Primespeak: The Fundamentals of Patient Communication
In week 1, we set the foundations for optimal communication between the dental practice and patient.
Using the New Patient Exam as a framework, we will explore the following topics:
Week 2
Primespeak: The New patient Exam
Most clinicians understand that there is often a large gap between what patients think they need and what clinicians know they need.
In this week, we will explore the Primespeak approach to effectively bridging the gap at the New Patient Exam.
Week 3
Primespeak: The New Patient Exam (Continued)
Drawing on all the Primespeak tools learnt, we will practice applying them to support patients in making an informed decision about their oral health. This will encourage patients to take ownership of their own oral health – thus seeking your solutions to the problems that they are aware of and concerned with.
Key Outcomes

By the end of Virtual Primespeak, you will have the tools and techniques to…
- Reduce the potential for patients to say, “I’ll think about it“.
- Turn “I hate going to the dentist” into a relationship-building opportunity.
- Manage the ‘no-pain = no problem‘ obstacle.
- Eliminate any perception of sales pressure or the potential of being rejected.
- Shift a new patient’s previous bad experience and mismanaged expectations into your favour.
- Learn to align pre-existing patient beliefs about oral health with your knowledge.
- Implement the Primespeak approach with both new and existing patients.

Endorsed and delivered by the ADA, taking into account the COVID-19 context, this course is the premier source of contemporary infection control information for the dental profession in 2020.
The Australian Dental Association secured PPE, consulted with regulators, actively sourced literature, research and information and constantly engaged with the leading authorities and government agencies responsible for the COVID-19 response to ensure leadership and guidance was timely and best practice for the profession.
We know the dental profession trusts ADA NSW to distil vast amounts of dynamic information into sensible and manageable action-based implementation strategies, this includes COVID-19 Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) management.
This course focuses on the key elements of managing COVID risk while it remains in our community, which could be for some time yet, and revisits the top areas of opportunity to improve IPC processes based on performance-based data and insights gained as the peak body for the profession.
Over 2000 people have attended this constantly evolving ADA course to reflect the dynamic landscape of IPC.

Event Details
If you’d like to deliver affordable, efficient, and high-quality cosmetic treatments for your patients, then our 2-day Smilefast program could be the most rewarding investment you’ll ever make.
Smilefast, for those unfamiliar with it, is the most comprehensive Short Term Orthodontic course available in Australia. The course focuses on the fundamentals of predictable orthodontic treatment, the use of the indirect bonding system allowing precise bracket placement, and our digital 3D Virtual Set-up. Smilefast is ideal for both Dr’s with or without any previous Orthodontic knowledge.
Our focus for Smilefast 2020 is to expand our offering to enable you to implement Smilefast within your practice. We’re not going to reduce it to one day as many other STO courses have done, as that will compromise your ability to learn and implement Smilefast. For 2020 we will have more pre-course learning, additional online support.
Smilefast is a 2-day training program that will allow you to perform high-quality cosmetic orthodontics in your practice with predictable outcomes that can help boost your local reputation, increase profits, and generate more word of mouth referrals.
During the 2 day course, you’ll learn sound orthodontic principles and practical skills, that will allow you to perform cosmetic procedures to the highest possible standards and achieve remarkable results for your patients in just six to nine months.
Position yourself in the cosmetic orthodontic market with Smilefast and offer your patients a convenient, simple, and fast orthodontic solution, and add a profitable revenue stream to your practice.
