If you extract teeth, then this is simply a MUST-ATTEND course. This full day Hands on workshop intensive focuses on the removal of Wisdom Teeth. New to dentistry or an experienced clinician, you will learn wisen about wisdom teeth that you never learnt at dental school.

  • Dr Edward Hsu

    Dr Edward Hsu

    BDSc (Hon), MBBS, FRACDS (OMS)

    Dr Edward Hsu obtained his dental qualification with honours from the UQ in 1999 and medical qualification also from UQ in 2003. Following advanced surgical training rotating through most of the major hospitals in Queensland, Dr Hsu obtained the qualification of FRACDS (OMS) and is registered as a specialist oral and maxillofacial surgeon with both the Australian Dental Board and the Australian Medical Board. Dr Hsu then completed additional surgical fellowship training in one of the busiest tertiary referral hospitals in London, UK.

    Dr Jeffrey Kho

    Dr Jeffrey Kho graduated from the University of Queensland with Honors in 2005. He has over 10 years experience with clear aligners. Dr Kho is one of Clearcorrect Australia’s National Trainers and regularly trains dentists both nationally and internationally on its use. Jeff has been a clinical supervisor for the UQ School of Dentistry, and lecturer at both Griffith and James Cook Universities. He serves as a Key Opinion Leader and clinical advisor for several different companies and finds the time to multiple private practices in Brisbane.

    Dr Jonathan Moore

    Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours)

    Dr Jonathan Moore graduated from The University Of Queensland Dental School with a Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours) in 2003. Upon completion of his degree, Jonathan worked in both private practice and for Queensland Health in Brisbane. In 2006, he commenced his postgraduate training in endodontics at The University of Melbourne. Jonathan graduated with a Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics and has a particular interest in rotary nickel titanium instrumentation and restoration of endodontically treated teeth.

  • Dr Mehdi Rahimi

    Dr Mehdi Rahimi

    Dr Rahimi is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Charles Sturt University (Orange). Mehdi graduated with a Bachelor in Dental Surgery with distinction from the University of Otago (New Zealand) in 2002 and received his Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry (Endo) degree from the University of Melbourne in 2008. Mehdi has been actively involved in Endodontic teaching at various continued education levels, both nationally and internationally. Mehdi is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Charles Sturt University, a guest lecturer at Sydney University and Melbourne University, and a CPD mentor for the Australian Dental Association NSW. Mehdi has obtained a number of publications in the field of forensic dentistry and Endodontics (resin based obturation material and fractured instruments). In 2000 Mehdi was awarded the Sir Allan Wilkinson award for the most worthwhile research in Medicine and Dentistry from the University of Otago, in 2001 he was awarded the International Association for Dental Research Young Researchers Award and in 2002 Mehdi received the Pierre Fauchard Academy Award of Merit. Mehdi is the current President of the Australian Society of Endodontology (NSW branch), the immediate past-president of the Australian Asian Association of Dentists, a fellow of the International College of Dentists (FICD), a fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, a member of the Australian Dental Association (NSW) Education & Research Committee, a member of the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons in Endodontics, and a member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Endodontists.

    Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon

    Dr Trent Lincoln is a contemporarily trained and highly qualified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon who strives to ensure the patient’s experience is as comfortable as possible from the first consultation, continuing throughout their recovery. Dr Trent Lincoln practices the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with a particular interest in: simple & advanced dental implants; wisdom teeth removal; repair and reconstruction of traumatic facial injuries and orthognathic surgery (corrective jaw surgery). Graduating from Medicine with Honours at Monash University, Dr Lincoln returned to his home state of Queensland to complete resident training years in Brisbane at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. During this time the treatment of patients with facial injuries convinced Dr Lincoln that Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery would be his chosen field. A year spent working in Ear, Nose and Throat as well as General Surgery in Rockhampton as a registrar furthered his varied experience prior to gaining a position in the highly sought-after lateral entry Dentistry program at the University of Queensland. The position allowed Dr Trent Lincoln to work within the Oral and Maxillofacial units of the major Brisbane Hospitals whilst studying Dentistry. DR TRENT LINCOLN Sunshine Coast After completing Dentistry, Dr Lincoln was accepted into the Queensland Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training program. During this time, Dr Lincoln trained at most of the major Brisbane hospitals including: Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, the Mater Hospitals, Royal Children’s and Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital, Ipswich and Logan Hospitals. A year of training spent in Townsville also allowed exposure to rarer and later presentations of Maxillofacial disease and injuries than that seen in the larger metropolitan centres. Dr Lincoln has a passion for replacing single, multiple and especially a full arch of teeth utilising dental implants. Dr Lincoln sought further training in Zygomatic Implants in Hong Kong in 2017 and regularly enhances his advanced skills in Dental Implantology, bone and soft tissue grafting by attending courses and conferences around the world. Dr Lincoln is an internationally-published author and researcher in the fields of: piezoelectric third molar removal; use of local anaesthetic in removal of teeth; paediatric orbital fractures and return to contact sports following cheek bone fractures amongst other topics. Born and raised west of Rockhampton, Trent had always dreamed of living on the Coast. Trent’s wife Alison was raised on the Sunshine Coast and this combined with the relaxed lifestyle and beautiful beaches made the Sunshine Coast an easy decision to live and work for many years to come! Outside of the practice, Trent enjoys spending time with his family and young children, drinking espresso at any one of a number of excellent Sunshine Coast Coffee Shops and visiting the beach. Trent is a fan of multiple sports including: rugby league, rugby union, golf and cycling and has plans to upgrade from the novice surfer category after realising his dream to live on the Sunshine Coast!

    Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon




    Dr Weber Huang is an Australian-trained specialist Surgeon in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He completed his primary Dental and Medical degrees in Australia and worked in both private general dental practice as well as hospital residencies in medicine and surgery. He underwent advanced surgical training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and holds the Fellowship by examination, FRACDS(OMS), in Australia. Dr Huang is a Global Scholar in Surgical Leadership at Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA and holds the Fellowship of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. ​Dr Huang has undergone post-fellowship training in Paediatric Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne where he gained extensive experience in the management of complex dentofacial deformities including cleft and craniofacial abnormalities. ​ Dr Huang is currently a Consultant and Staff Specialist at Westmead Hospital as well as an academic staff member at the University of Sydney, School of Dentistry, Faculty of Medicine and Health. He is actively involved in the training of specialist surgeons through the College as well as young dentists and doctors from the University. Dr Huang is a Sydneysider and outside of the profession, he loves to spend time enjoying the harbour with his wife and sons. From his days at the Conservatorium High School, Dr Huang still enjoys playing the piano and violin but actually prefers to listen to the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

    Dr. Mark Johnstone

    Mark graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours from the University of Melbourne in 2008. He was on the Deans Honours List and winner of the Ernest Joske Prize in final year dentistry. He worked in private practice for three years before beginning specialist training, graduating with the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in 2014 from the University of Melbourne and being awarded the Ephraim Ehrmann Memorial Prize. Mark is involved in teaching undergraduate students at the University of Melbourne, and works in private practice in both Melbourne and Sydney
