Course Outline:

Young or anxious paediatric patients can be challenging to manage when restorative treatment is required. This presentation will discuss whether the needle and drill is always required, and introduce the Hall Technique to dental practitioners.

Course Topics:

  • Familiarisation with tools and components.
  • Step-by step instructions on the placement of a Hall Crown
  • Scientific evidence for use of the Hall Technique

    Dr Lisa Bowdin

    Paediatric Dentist

    Dr Lisa Bowdin is a paediatric dentist operating in private practice in South Perth, WA. After working as a general dentist in Bunbury, WA, Dr Bowdin completed her postgraduate studies in Paediatric Dentistry at The University of Western Australia. She is currently the WA Federal Councillor for the Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry (ANZSPD) as well as secretary for the Dental Specialists Society of Western Australia. Dr Bowdin is an after-hours, on-call paediatric dentist at Perth Children’s Hospital, and a tutor at The University of Western Australia.
