Event Details

The OPG and Lateral Ceph licensing course is open to Dentists, Dental specialists, Oral Health Therapists, Dental Hygienists, and Dental Assistants (with Certificate IV in Dental Assistance Radiography – copy required).

This course has been approved by various state Radiation health departments like VIC, QLD, TAS, NT and WA and the delegates of these states can apply for the licenses with their respective Radiation health department  by  submitting  the  certificate  of  competency  (below)  provided by Dr Sholapurkar. However SA delegates may participate in this course (as this course has been added to the list of SA training providers by the SA EPA), but for the purposes of licensing, an independent assessment is administered by the SA EPA. SA delegates, please contact Dr Sholapurkar for further details.

This course consists of lecture module followed by practical demonstration of taking an OPG and a Lateral Ceph radiograph through a video presentation directed  and produced by Dr Sholapurkar.

An open book written theory examination/quiz will follow which the delegates of all the   states will have to pass by obtaining at least 50% marks. The exam paper will consist about 35-40 questions (each  carrying 1-3 marks) and 1-2 minutes  time  would  be  allotted  for  each  question  (the  exam  would  run  for  approximately  50 minutes in total). Dr Sholapurkar will be assessing these exam papers. Upon passing the exam, the delegates  will  be provided with a signed certificate of competency. In addition to this, the delegates will also receive the certificate  of  attendance where they will be granted 4.5 CPD points. The examination is for those who wish to obtain their licenses.

Delegates who already have their licenses can still appear for the course and obtain 4.5 CPD points.

A Note From Dr Amar Sholapurkur

Dear esteemed delegates,

Good evening. It was so good to see an overwhelming response from you all expressing your interest to attend the OPG and CBCT licensing courses via Zoom. I am more than happy to conduct the courses on Saturday the 11h of July. Please see below the details of both the courses. I have been conducting both the courses (OPG and CBCT licensing courses) across Australia from past 4-5 years and usually charging $800 for each course (making it $1600 altogether). In fact yesterday’s course costed altogether $1600 per delegate. However since I am seeing at a great response on DPR, I have decided to give huge discount for both the courses as follows

$605 for CBCT inclusive of exams and $495 for CBCT course exclusive of exams ($495 is for those delegates who already have their CBCT licenses but are willing to have a refresher CBCT course).

$440 for OPG inclusive of exams and $330 for OPG exclusive of exams ($330 is for those delegates who already have their OPG licenses but are willing to have a refresher OPG course).

Please note that you could also register for individual course or combination of two courses (which meant that it is not mandatory to register for the full day course). Isn’t that an extremely good deal? This is just a life time course and I understand from various delegates that it is worth it. Please note that this deal is only for this July course and the price would return back to normal after this course.

Please wait, I am still not done – In addition, there is another great deal for those delegates who register for these courses – You are eligible for a further 30% discount for all the Dental Radiology courses that I would conduct in the next 2 years (these courses include – refresher CBCT and OPG course, a 4 hour 2D radiography interpretation lecture titled “Tips for interpreting and diagnosing everyday problems from dental radiographs” and a 2 hour CBCT lecture on “Justification for prescribing a CBCT in our day today dental practice”. Isn’t that great deal guys? So hurry up, kindly register for the courses ASAP, the course is limited to only 100 people.
