Register now and join us for the final MGRSG meeting of 2021.
We will be joined by Dr Harry Mohan, Dr Arun Thangavel and Dr Ehsan Mellati to discuss restoring the single tooth edentulous space.

    Dr. Arun Thangavel

    Dr Thangavel is proud to announce the opening of his brand new specialist dental practice – Southcoast Smiles in Fairy Meadow, Wollongong. Having worked for many years in the Illawarra and understanding the needs of his patients, he has built a state of the art facility for Prosthodontics and dental implant treatment.

    A proud Wollongong local, Dr Arun Thangavel has worked as a staff specialist at Westmead Dental Hospital where he obtained extensive experience managing a range of complex dental cases and was involved in teaching and mentoring students of the university.

    Dr Arun prides himself on his passion for excellence and for always striving to find the best possible dental solutions for his patients.

  • Dr. Ehsan Mellati

    Dr. Ehsan Mellati

    Periodontist

    Ehsan is a periodontist in private practice in Sydney and founder of the state-of-the-art Precision Periodontics in Chatswood. His practice is restricted to periodontics and implant dentistry. He is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Sydney University and is also involved in mentorship at LaTrobe University and Charles Sturt University. Ehsan is the recipient of the prestigious ITI grant for his postgraduate thesis focusing on the healing of hard and soft tissues around immediate implants.

    He has published several articles in well-respected international journals and has been actively involved in presenting lectures, running CPD events, and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students and overseas trained dentists. He is an active member of International Team for Implantology, Australian Dental Association, Australian Society of Periodontology, and Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists.

  • Dr. Harry Mohan

    Dr. Harry Mohan

    Specialist endodontist

    Dr. Harry Mohan completed his Bachelor of Dental Science at the University of Melbourne in 2008, before commencing work as a Dental Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force. Harry was posted to RAAF bases in South Australia and NSW for four years, and then transitioned to private dental practice in the Blue Mountains and NSW Central Coast. He completed his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics at the University of Melbourne and has special interests in dental trauma and the management of patients with dental fear and anxiety.

    Harry has published articles in peer-reviewed International and Australian scientific journals in the areas of endodontics and dental fear and anxiety. He regularly attends scientific meetings and has been involved with lecturing and clinical teaching at the University of Melbourne.
