Mental health first aid training

Event Details

This two-day accredited workshop provides you with the skills needed to recognise the signs and symptoms of mental health problems. You will also learn how to confidently approach, reassure and support a person in distress or crisis. 

You will learn how to:

  • Recognise the signs and symptoms of the common and disabling mental health problems and mental health crisis, for example, depression, anxiety, psychosis, substance use problems, suicidal thoughts and behaviours 
  • Understand risk factors and appropriate evidence-based treatments and supports
  • Respond and offer appropriate support to family, friends and colleagues using the Mental Health First Aid Action Plan ALGEE.

    Adiemus is a Gallup-certified Clifton Strengths coach, registered counsellor and wellbeing consultant. He has two degrees in counselling and behavioral science, and a double masters in Grief & Palliative Care and Applied Positive Psychology. Adiemus has 20 years of experience helping individuals and teams elevate performance and enhance wellbeing. He had also successfully built and sold a dental practice before he moved to Melbourne with his family.
