Local Anaesthetic

This course is designed for Dentists, Oral Health Therapists, Dental Therapists & Hygienists.

Event overview

This course will build the knowledge and skills required to successfully administer and manage local anaesthesia within the dental practice.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Understand the mechanism of different local anaesthetics
2. Locate anatomic landmarks for each injection site
3. Select appropriate local anaesthetic agent, dependent upon patient’s medical history
4. Recognize, prevent, and manage complications associated with local anaesthetic
5. Be able to manage local anaesthetics related a range of dental procedures.
