Learn firsthand from Australia’s leading authority on infection control in dentistry about all the recent changes in infection control that have come in over the past 12 months and gain insight into what is coming in the near future. This one day course will cover the new guidelines from ADA, NHMRC, Hand Hygiene Australia and the CDNA as well as recent changes in Australian Standards and TGA regulations.     Professor Laurence Walsh

    BDSc (Hons) (Qld), DDSc (Qld), PhD (Qld), GCEd, FFOP (RCPA), FICD, FADI, FPFA, FIADFE

    Professor Walsh is a specialist in special needs dentistry who holds a personal chair in Dental Science at the University of Queensland. He is a clinically active specialist in special needs dentistry and has a particular clinical interest in medically compromised patients. Laurie has lectured nationally and internationally on issues with the provision of dental care to elderly and frail patients, and has contributed to the development of care protocols based on minimal intervention dentistry. Laurie has served as an infection control consultant to a range of government and private sector organisations.
