COURSE OVERVIEW
Join Prof. Laurie Walsh to learn how to maximise clinical effectiveness, as well as safety, throughout the tooth whitening process. This course is designed to meet the requirements of the Dental Board of Australia policy’s regarding in-office whitening undertaken by dental practitioners.
Prof. Walsh will cover the selection process and methods of tooth whitening. A theoretical examination will be conducted prior to the hands-on component. Participants will have the opportunity to practice techniques for isolation and tissue protection, and the application of materials.

Professor Laurence Walsh

Professor Walsh is a specialist in special needs dentistry who holds a personal chair in Dental Science at the University of Queensland. He is a clinically active specialist in special needs dentistry and has a particular clinical interest in medically compromised patients. Laurie has lectured nationally and internationally on issues with the provision of dental care to elderly and frail patients, and has contributed to the development of care protocols based on minimal intervention dentistry. Laurie has served as an infection control consultant to a range of government and private sector organisations.
