The choice for any Dentist to commence their own Practice is one of the biggest decisions they will make in their career.  While the clinical setup of the Practice is extremely important there is usually a lack of clarity on key matters in setting up or buying into a Practice.

    Georgina has more than 19 years’ experience as a commercial lawyer in the UK and Australia. She is known for her detailed background in commercial and banking transactions and documentation, insolvency procedures and issues, business and asset sales and restructuring, as well as related litigation and employment issues. She advises insurance businesses, health practitioners and the not for profit sector. Georgina has personally negotiated, drafted and completed many major commercial transactions and her recent work includes the due diligence, acquisition and structuring of multiple insurance broker businesses (share purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, shareholders’ agreements, and authorised representative agreements). In the health sector, Georgina advises on the establishment and dissolution of professional partnerships (dental, pharmacy and veterinary practitioners), provides advice on pharmacy location rules and advises on franchising and licencing agreements. She advises UK companies wishing to register and trade in Australia. In recent work, she was the legal adviser on a multi-million dollar city centre development partnership involving complex funding and partnership contracts.

Shane is a noted presenter and commentator, regularly speaking at events for a range of industry organisations including the Australian Dental Association (ADA), Australian Medical Association (AMA (NSW)), the Australian Association of Practice Management (AAPM) and the SMSF Association.
