Event Details

This dental conference is for dentists with a passion for quality education and a love of snow sports. Queenstown is the beautiful city on New Zealand’s south island that’s home to some of the world’s most inspiring scenery, fine dining, adventure sports, and tons of snow. Just 3 hours flight out of the eastern states, this dental conference will supply 10 hours of CPD over two days.

The speakers include Dr Amanda Phoon Nguyen, Dr Agnetha Valladares, Dr Michael Frazis, Dr Shaun Goh, Dr Sven Jensen and Dr Alessandro Grisa, discussing topics including advances in cleft palate management, early-intervention orthodontics, oral medicine, clinical photography, implantology, dental applications of 3D printing, tackling complex cases and more.

  • Dr Agnetha Valladares

    Dr Agnetha Valladares

    BDS (Uni . Adl) Advanced Certificate Implant Dentistry (NYU), Diplomate and Fellow (ICOI)

    Graduating in 2012 from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, she has worked in private practice, and extended her practice in volunteer dentistry abroad.

    She recently graduated from a two-year program in Advanced Implant Dentistry from the Department of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at New York University, in the United States. She is a Diplomate and Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

    She has a passion for dentistry and fuels her career aspirations by broadening her knowledge. Her passion and drive emanate through her work as a dentist allowing her to quickly build an excellent rapport with her patients.

    Dr Amanda Phoon Nguyen completed her specialist training in Oral Medicine at the UWA Dental School, University of Western Australia. Before undertaking specialist training, Amanda graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Dental Science, served in the Royal Australian Navy as a Dental officer and worked in both public and private practice in Western Australia. Her Oral Medicine training involved roles at the Oral Health Centre of Western Australia, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital Head and Neck Cancer Multidisciplinary Team and the Perth Children’s Hospital.

    Dr Frazis enjoys all aspects of dentistry, with a particular interest in cosmetic work, complex surgery and nervous patients. He spent the first few years of his career focusing on patient communication and expanding his basic skill set. Dr Frazis is a frequent contributor to the online dental forum RIPE and is a content creator for the Restoring Excellence Academy. He has been increasingly involved with teaching dentists of all ages in a variety of hands on courses. He is currently undertaking a Diploma in Dental Implantology through James Cook University.

  • Dr Shaun Goh

    Dr Shaun Goh

    Specialist orthodontist

    Dr Shaun Goh is a highly experienced and caring dentist who is currently in specialist training to be an orthodontist at the University of Adelaide. He visits our clinic on Saturdays to provide oral surgery and general dental services. For the past 5 years Dr Goh was the principal dentist at his clinic in Byron Bay, NSW. He practices a wide scope of dentistry including wisdom teeth extractions, implants, root canal therapy and cosmetic dentistry. His philosophy is to have the best possible dental care for all his patients whilst making sure they are at ease during and after their treatment.

    Dr Goh graduated from Adelaide University’s Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Bachelor of Science in Dentistry (Honours) degrees in 2012. He has since continued his education and training by taking on multiple post-graduate programs including examinations by the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons, Master Implant Fellowship at the Brener Institute, facial injectables training at the Australasian Academy of Dento-Facial Aesthetics and the Canadian National Dental Examination Board qualifications. Dr Goh has been an oral surgery supervisor at Griffith University School of Dentistry and also held a research position at the University of Queensland School of Dentistry’s Orthodontics and Maxillofacial Radiology departments.

    True to his Queensland origins he likes to surf or take the long board out at the Gold Coast in his spare time but he now looks forward to switching it for a bicycle around Adelaide. He and his fiancée are foodies and are looking forward to trying well-acclaimed food and wine scene around Adelaide.

    Dr Sven Jensen

    Specialist orthodontist

    Dr Sven grew up in the Adelaide Hills and completed his dental and specialist orthodontic training at the University of Adelaide. Sven and his wife are currently living in Canada where Sven is completing a one-year fellowship in Craniofacial and Special Needs Orthodontics at the University of Toronto. You will meet Sven when he returns to Adelaide, mid-2020.
