Dental extractions are not always straightforward and the need for a surgical approach should always be anticipated. This one-day course provides an update for dentists wishing to enhance their skills in dental extractions.
With a combination of lectures, discussion sessions, case presentations and plenty of hands-on sessions, this course will enhance your confidence when treatment planning for exodontia.

Dr Deborah Cockrell is a UK trained Oral Surgeon who currently works in private practice on the Central Coast of NSW. Deb has had significant experience in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Deb has a background in academia and has developed and delivered a range of educational programs. She has several publications and has lectured in Australia and Internationally. Deb has been a member of the ADA NSW Council from 2001-2016 including 2 years as President from 2013-2015.

Dr Leesa Rix is a University of Sydney trained Oral Surgeon who is in private practice in Chatswood. She is a visiting specialist Oral Surgeon at Hunters Hill Hospital, Dalcross Adventist Hospital and the Sydney Adventist Hospital. She was formerly head of the Department of Oral Surgery at the Sydney Dental Hospital and a Clinical Lecturer for the University of Sydney. She is on the Continuing Professional Development Committee for the ADA and has wide experience in teaching both undergraduates and postgraduates

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr Lydia Lim is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in private specialist practice in Chatswood. She is a graduate of Sydney University and completed her Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training in Sydney obtaining the MDSc and FRACDS(OMS) qualifications. She then furthered her training in the United States at the University of Texas at Houston. Lydia is currently a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Westmead Hospital where she is involved with teaching surgical registrars and managing maxillofacial trauma. She also has special interest in complex dental implantology and orthognathic surgery.
