Efficient root canal treatment relies on a stream-lined approach to treatment achieving as predictable outcome as possible. This intensive hands-on participation workshop will present a strategic approach to root canal treatment using concepts of mechanical instrumentation. Learn procedures for stress free, safer, more time efficient endodontics. The programme will present concepts to eliminate of hand fatigue, canal distortion and how to save on procedural costs.
The use of good vision and lighting using microscopes will be emphasised. All participants will be exposed to the use of a microscope.
A hands-on participation workshop for root canal treatment. Part 2.
The second day of this intensive program provides a further enhancement of the skills attained on day 1 focusing on retreatment of cases. A review of factors that lead to post treatment endodontic disease will be presented. We will also help you develop additional skills, including obturation of teeth with widened apices, bleaching and use of ultrasonics to remove posts would be developed.

Dr Averil Tse completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Otago, graduating with Distinction in 2001. Averil then worked in both the public and private sectors in Auckland, New Zealand, until 2006. Averil came to Melbourne to undertake her postgraduate specialist training in Endodontics at the University of Melbourne, obtaining a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in 2009. Averil works in specialist private practice in the Melbourne CBD on Collins St. Averil is the immediate past-President of the Australian Society of Endodontology (VIC branch). In addition, Averil is involved with teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, at the Dental Schools at the University of Melbourne and La Trobe University in Bendigoand has lectured for the ASE (Inc.), ADA (Vic Branch) and University of Melbourne CPD courses.

Dr Felman achieved a Bachelor of Dental Science graduating with Honours at the University of Melbourne in 2001. During several years of general practice, Dr Felman developed a keen interest in endodontics and completed his specialist training in the field in 2010 with a Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry, also at the University of Melbourne. As a registered specialist endodontist Dr Felman achieved Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS). He is also a Member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Endodontists (ANZAE), the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), the Australian Dental Association (ADA) and the International Association of Dental Traumatology (IADT). He also serves on the Victorian committee of the Australian Society of Endodontology (ASE Vic). Complementing his full-time private practice commitments, Dr Felman is the Endodontic Specialist Consultant at Monash Medical Centre. He lectures widely, both locally and nationally, teaches endodontics at the University of Melbourne and La Trobe University, and maintains a special interest in the management of complex traumatic dental injuries.
