The five-day Melbourne ITI Education Week is aimed at dental practitioners with an interest in dental implantology and who would like to gain insights into the digital implant workflow for planning and placement of implants. The course includes lectures, case discussions, live surgical and restorative procedures as well as  hands-on sessions. It is designed to provide a sound basis for the treatment of patients with implants from both restorative and surgical aspects using the digital workflow.

    Associate Professor Roy Judge is Director of Continuing Professional Development and Head of Prosthodontics at the Melbourne Dental School. Roy is chief investigator of the Evident Study “Implant Complications in Practice: A Prospective Study”. Roy is also in specialist Prosthodontic practice in Essendon.

    Stephen Chen is a periodontist in private practice in Melbourne, Australia. He is also a Senior Fellow in the Department of Periodontology at the University of Melbourne. Stephen Chen graduated from Melbourne University with a Master of Dental Science in 1987, and was awarded a PhD from the same university in 2009. He is past president of the Australia and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists, Australasian Osseointegration Society and Australian Society of Periodontology. Dr. Chen is a Fellow of the ITI and serves as Chairman of the Education Core Group.

    Specialist Prosthodontist- DClinDent (Melbourne)

    Dr Chris Evans completed his BDSc (University of Queensland), and his MDSc in prosthodontics (University of Melbourne). He is in full-time specialist prosthodontic practice in Brighton, and has a branch practice in Albury, NSW. Chris has been involved with teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students at The University of Melbourne and has been involved in several international multi-centre clinical research trials. He has presented on implant dentistry and other prosthodontic topics throughout Australasia, Asia, America and Europe.

    BDSc, Grad.Dip.Clin.Dent, MSD (Iowa), Grad.Cert.Pros (Iowa), FPFA, MRACDS

    A registered specialist prosthodontist from Melbourne, Australia, Dr Tan has published multiple papers and lectured on a variety of scientific and clinical topics including treatment planning decisions, restorative techniques for compromised teeth, use of ceramics with implants, magnification for prosthodontics and the accuracy of CAD/CAM systems. Currently involved in several research projects, Dr Tan’s current interest is the implementation of digital technology to everyday practice.

    Dr. Anthony Dickinson OAM

    Anthony Dickinson completed his BDSc (Melbourne) in 1978 and his postgraduate training in Prosthodontics at Indiana University USA in 1985; thereafter joined the Faculty at the University of Connecticut in the Department of Restorative Dentistry. For the past thirty years he has maintained a private specialist practice with a major emphasis on Implant, aesthetic and restorative prosthodontics. In addition, he is an Honorary Clinical Fellow at the University of Melbourne School of Dental Science.

    Dr. Dickinson was admitted as a fellow of the International Team of Implantology (ITI) in 1998. He is a Past-Chairman of the Australasian Section and a registered ITI Speaker. He served twelve years on ITI International Administration; a member of the Board of Directors of the ITI for eight years and as a member of the then Section and Membership Committee. He also held a position on the Dental Practice Board of Victoria (and the former Dental Board of Victoria) for approximately thirteen years – the last six years as President. He currently holds a position on the Board of Reviewers for the International Journal of Prosthodontics. In June 2015 he was award the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for his service to dentistry as a practitioner and as an educator in Prosthodontics and to professional associations.

    Prof Darby is the current Head of Periodontics and is responsible for the school’s specialization program in Periodontics, DClinDent(Perio). In addition, he also has involvement in the Grad Dip Clin Dent (implants), DDS, BDSc and BOH periodontics and implant surgery components. Ivan is also Director of Postgraduate Research and Education and Head of Population Oral Health & Periodontics. He also practices as a Periodontist in Moonee Ponds. Ivan is a past President of the ANZ division, Periodontal Research Group and Asia Pacific Region of the IADR. He is also Editor of the ASP journal, Periodontology.
